Ten (10) regional Community Service Coordinators serve most of the 46 counties in the state, providing case management, counseling, and employment services to offenders, former offenders, homeless people, and the families in crisis. The Alston Wilkes Society helps clients make a successful transition back into society through needs assessment, counseling, employment training/placement, transportation, personal hygiene items, food, clothing, housing assistance, and referrals to other community resources.
Community Services Coordinators are funded through United Way, volunteer membership, donations, and grants.

Inside Out is an adult mentoring program funded by the Second Chance Act through the U.S. Bureau of Justice Assistance with the aim of recruiting volunteer mentors to act as Life Coaches to offenders scheduled for release, helping to ensure that the transition from prison into the community is safe and successful. The Alston Wilkes Society's goal is to recruit and train volunteer Life Coaches to provide support and guidance to their members (offender participants). We have partnered with the South Carolina Department of Corrections to provide pre- and post-release mentoring in the Midlands and Greenville areas.
